The Movement is embarking on a regional tour as part of its strategic plan! This project, funded by the Ministère Femmes Égalité des Genres Canada, is scheduled from January to October 2025. Our goal is to meet with perinatal stakeholders in all regions of Quebec!
We want to engage directly with citizen groups, parents’ committees, and parents, as well as women and pregnant individuals from all backgrounds, to better understand your realities and needs. If your organization is leading local initiatives, we would be delighted to organize a joint meeting with your members or participants. These discussions will include interactive workshops led by our team.
Each stage of the tour will be tailored to the availability of the groups and the geography of the regions, with stays lasting from 1 to 4 days.
Our main objectives:
– Assess access to midwifery services and access to birthing places throughout the region.
– Explore the quality of perinatal care and the state of mobilization approaches.
– Listen to the voices of marginalized people or those at the crossroads of oppression who encounter specific obstacles in their childbirth journey.
Your participation is essential to build sustainable collective actions adapted to your realities. Together, let’s shape a future where autonomy in childbirth is at the heart of perinatal concerns.
