The regional tour of the Movement for Childbirth Autonomy is officially underway! ✨
Our first stops allowed us to meet engaged citizens in the Eastern Townships, as well as the inspiring team from the organization À la source in Sept-Îles, which is actively campaigning for access to midwifery services on the North Shore. 👉Listen to the Radio-Canada interview with Sarah Landry and Tania Bond
Before hitting the road, we initiated a series of virtual meetings with our members to structure this tour together. These discussions enable us to gain a deeper understanding of the perinatal realities unique to each region, to take the pulse of local issues, and co-develop activities that genuinely address the needs on the ground.
With this in mind, we also started comprehensive efforts to enhance our intersectional feminist vision, particularly through training in GBA+ (Gender-Based Analysis) and another in simplified writing, ensuring our communications are increasingly inclusive and accessible.
🗓️ Please note: several new tour dates are coming soon:
– April 28, 2025, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mieux Naître in Laval
– May 13, 2025, in Chicoutimi (time and address to be announced)
– June 2025: Gatineau and the Magdalen Islands
– Fall 2025: Saguenay and Gaspésie
