Families in Mont-Tremblant now benefit from better access to midwifery services as well as sexual and reproductive health services. The Michèle-Turpin Midwifery Service recently opened its doors and offers a new point of service in the region.
This announcement marks an important step after years of mobilization on the part of families and community organizations, who have long demanded better access to midwifery services in the Laurentians.
Although the birthing suite is still being prepared, this announcement represents significant progress toward expanding reproductive health care options and helps ensure that more families can have access, close to home, to the respectful, person-centered care they deserve.
